Solution

You can choose the website statistics package for each domain that you run in your Bitpalace Business Booster separately:

• no statistics
• Webalizer
• AWStats

As an alternative or in addition to these you can use your own statistics software to analyze the webserver log files, or you can add third-party solutions like Google Analytics. Your advantage of local server statistics is that your data will stay confidential. In third-party solutions your traffic statistics will become available at least to the service agent who can then use the data for his own purposes.

If you choose to only run a third-party solution, you can set the statistics package selector to "no statistics". This lowers the CPU load of the server and speeds it up a little (it really does not matter much if you use a software like Webalizer or AWStats on your server in addition to a third-party solution like Google Analytics, so go ahead, if you like to have two different statistics counting).

To select a statistics package for your domain, follow these steps:

1. Log-in to your customer control panel of your host, e.g. "https://elbe.bitpalast.net:8843". The name of your host and your credentials for the customer control panel can be found in the server welcome mail that you have received at the beginning of your contract term.

2. Click on the "Websites & Domains" tab.

3. Click on the "Hosting settings" link.

4. In the section "Web scripts & statistics" you will find a drop down list from which you can pick your favorite statistics.

5. Click on the "OK" button.
